"Felt safe tanning here"
I had a good experience overall. The staff took the time to explain the time limits and the whole eyewear thing, which I really appreciated. The beds looked clean too. My only small complaint is that I wish the safety info was posted a little more clearly so you don’t have to ask as much.

"I want to keep liking Sun Tan City, but the rooms need more attention"
I’ve been going to Sun Tan City on and off for a while, and I want to stay loyal because I’m used to the place and usually like the overall vibe. The front area is almost always clean and put together, which I appreciate. But the tanning rooms can be really hit or miss. A few times I’ve walked in and seen lotion spots on the floor or an overflowing trash can, and that just kind of throws me off before even getting started. The staff has always been nice when I bring it up, so I don’t want to sound too harsh, but I do feel like the rooms should be checked more often. I’m not ready to switch salons yet, but it’s definitely making me consider other options if it doesn’t improve.

"Still Got Charged After Calling Twice??"
I had to call them twice to sort this out, and somehow I still got charged again the next month?? Frustrating, honestly. I thought it was handled the first time, so seeing another charge pop up was really annoying

"Confusing billing experience"
I might have missed something, so maybe this is partly on me, but the billing just didn’t feel very clear. I had to dig around more than I expected to figure out what the charges were, and that was frustrating. Maybe it’s all explained somewhere in the fine print, but I feel like it should be much easier to see before you sign up. Overall, not a great experience for me...

"Booking Was Okay, But the Open Slots Were Annoying"
Booking an appointment on suntancity.com was mostly easy, but a few times it showed a slot as open and then suddenly it wasn’t available after I clicked on it. Felt like the goalposts kept moving, which is super annoying when you’re trying to plan around work. I did finally get my appointment booked, so it wasn’t a total mess, but the process could definitely be smoother.

"Clean, chill spot"
The place felt really clean and chill. The music wasn’t blasting, which I appreciated because who wants to yell the whole time?? The staff seemed relaxed and easygoing too. My only thing is I wish the rooms were a bit bigger, but overall it was a nice experience.

After a few months, I started noticing the same pattern: I’d pay the monthly fee, then still get nudged toward upgrading beds or buying extra products. At first I thought maybe I just wasn’t using it enough, but the cost kept stacking up and I wasn’t getting much value out of it. Canceling also took more effort than I expected, which only made the whole thing feel more frustrating. For me, it ended up feeling like money going out every month without much to show for it. I wouldn’t sign up again

"Not the warmest visit"
I stopped in hoping to get a quick tan, and I guess the place itself seemed fine enough, but the vibe from the staff was off. It felt like I was interrupting them just by being there. I barely got a hello, and any questions I asked were answered super shortly. Maybe they were just having a rough day, I don’t know, but it didn’t exactly make me want to come back

"Disappointing Spray Tan Experience"
I went to Sun Tan City for a spray tan before a weekend trip, it did not turn out well. My legs ended up streaky, my hands looked orange, and I had random lighter patches all over. I followed all the aftercare instructions they gave me, so I’m not really sure what went wrong. It also faded really strangely and started looking kind of dirty after just two days. For other customers thinking about going before an event or trip, I’d be careful. I was disappointed and don’t plan on going back.

"Hard to Trust the Appointment Times"
I booked online because I figured having an appointment would make things quick and straightforward, but I still ended up sitting there for almost 40 minutes. No one really explained what was going on either, just kept saying it would be “a few more minutes,” which got frustrating fast.

This has happened to me more than once now, so it doesn’t feel like a one-off anymore. At this point, I don’t really trust the appointment times, especially if I’m trying to squeeze it in during lunch or before work. I’d say give yourself a lot of extra time if you go

"Left More Confused Than When I Came In"
I stopped in with just a few simple questions about the beds and lotion, nothing complicated, and the staff seemed kind of confused. I asked different people and got different answers, so I was just like, wait, wait... what? Nobody really broke down the packages in a clear way either. I actually left feeling like I knew less than when I walked in. Maybe it was just an off day, but for the price, I expected someone to really know what they were talking about. I probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

I use Sun Tan City because my sister and I both go there, and the app makes the whole routine way more annoying than it needs to be. It logs me out constantly, and half the time the buttons either don’t load or just sit there doing nothing. Booking or changing an appointment should take a minute, but it always feels like a whole project.

The worst is when it freezes on the checkout screen and I’m left wondering if my payment or appointment even went through. If they’re going to push everyone to use the app, it really needs to be dependable. I finally deleted it today after getting frustrated with it again

"Privacy in the room was poor"
The room privacy was not great. I felt awkward getting ready because it seemed way too open, like staff or other people could easily notice what was going on. For something as basic as feeling comfortable in your own room, this felt amateur. I left feeling uncomfortable and annoyed...
